MARC Raises Cancer $$

The Major Artery Revitalization Committee has presented donations totaling $9,130 to the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Last May, MARC organized 19 people to participate in the 28th annual Blue Cross Broad Street Run. Included in those runners were MARC VP John Byrne and MARC Treasurer Christopher Creelman. Following the run, MARC continued to raise funds and last week presented a check of $6,165 to the American Cancer Society.

In October, MARC held the First annual MARC Breast Cancer Walk. The event circled Lincoln HS and Pennypack Park, where MARC recently posted mile markers. Last week, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation received the proceeds of $2,965.
