MARC-ing Holmesburg

Holmesburg and Upper Holmesburg recently received new neighborhood banners along Frankford Avenue, courtesy of the Major Artery Revitalization Committee (MARC).

There are 20 Holmesburg banners that run between Sheffield and Solly Avenues. The 20 Upper Holmesburg banners hang between Solly and Linden Avenues.

"We would like to thank Councilwoman Joan Krajewski, State Rep. Michael McGeehan, Congresswoman Allyson Y. Schwartz, the Community Life Improvement Program, the Holmesburg and Upper Holmesburg Civic Associations, as well as SEPTA," said MARC President John Byrne, "for their support of this beautification effort."

 Similar banners plan to be added in Tacony and Wissinoming.
