PHOTO 1. All the major political action in Philly last weekend was social — and some of it was out of town. Brady’s Bunch at the Beach packed Keenan’s in N. Wildwood on a sweltering Saturday afternoon, drawing the likes of Democrat nominee for Governor Dan Onorato, left, and Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell.

PHOTO 2. Meanwhile, in the cool reaches of the Convention Center, a crowd of 700 gathered to pay tribute to the astounding career of Laborers Union elder statesman Sam Staten, Sr., here flanked by Mayor Michael Nutter, left, and by his son Sam, Jr.

PHOTO 3. The gang was all here at Keenan’s, among them this set of hearty partygoers, from left, candidate for Sheriff Alan Kurtz (who’s having an affair of his own this evening), Vince Primavera, Ducky Birts, Charlie Bernard, Sr. and Councilman Bill Greenlee.

PHOTO 4. Staten was the luckiest man in Philadelphia that night, graced by the company of so much beauty and talent: from left, Wanda Davis, State Rep. Cherelle Parker, Councilwoman Marian Tasco, State Sen. LeAnna Washington and Felisha Harris.

PHOTO 5. Enjoying Brady Bunch were, from left, State Sen. & Mrs. Mike Stack, Chief Deputy Sheriff Barbara Deeley, State Rep. John Sabatina, Jr. and John Del Ricci.

PHOTO 6. “The Boss”, State Rep. Dwight Evans, left, joins with Barry DiVergilio, State Rep. Ron Waters and Waters’ charming granddaughter at Convention Center affair.
