The Dell East Is Back!

LONG-AWAITED restoration of Robin Hood Dell was inaugurated Tuesday night by Mayor Michael Nutter and a host of dignitaries. Among civic leaders who helped pull together $5 million rehab of Dell Music Center were labor leader Sam Staten, Jr., Councilmen Bill Green and Curtis Jones, Jr., and State Rep. Ron Waters. Other Council Members Jannie Blackwell and Darrell Clarke participated in rounding up the money for the lavish renovation of this 80-year-old performance facility, which has been closed for two years. The first show of the season, this coming Monday, will be by the O’Jays.
