  1. I voted for Obama in 2010, but I would really much rather have his supporters tell me why the current President of the United States of America he is BETTER and RIGHT choice for woman, men, boys, and girls and not merely bash his opponent. Give us a reason to vote for him again, that should be the focus!

  2. In a city with high sickness and low income, Councilwoman Tasco as Chairperson of the Committee of Health and Human Services has continually failed to promote dynamic local industries specifically in the medical, insurance and pharmaceutical fields.

Considering the need for Aria and Albert Einstein Hospitals to build new facilities in the suburbs, Councilwoman Tasco has failed in her responsibility to protect communities from the possibility of these two institutions leaving the city or closing altogether. Examples of her lack of leadership can be found in the fact that there are only six maternity departments in Philadelphia. Fourteen obstetric units or hospitals have closed over the past twelve years within Philadelphia yet Councilwoman Tasco has remained silent to her commitment to women and families.

Also, Councilwoman Tasco has failed to consider solutions for solving the problem of reducing the approximately 60,000 patient visits at Philadelphia’s largest health center. The 7-8 month waiting time for the scheduling of new patients reflects her lack of dignity and respect in maintaining the best alternatives of care that includes compassion and understanding in building upon the connection of all people as members of the same family.

Patients who use a clinic normally lack health coverage, are unemployed, and usually have a high school or less education. The goal of Councilwoman Tasco should be to focus on fixing the problems (education and jobs) related to people relying on clinics for their healthcare service while eliminating the continued dependence on city health services while hospitals close or eliminate services.

  3. Please vote to fund Philadelphia School Distict. The Doomsday budget will have a detrimental effect on students. Thank for your support.
