Event is held annually by the Irish 69th reenactors, and supported by Phila. Ancient Order of Hibernians. A colonel, major and private were remembered with musket volleys and playing of “Taps”. SALUTE to 238th Birthday of US Marine Corps was held at grave of Brig. Gen. Jacob Zeilen, 7th Commandant of Marines. Zeilen’s term saw the creation of iconic Eagle, Globe and Anchor symbol for the Corps. Speakers of were Jon Peterson, Ben Franklin American Legion Post Commander; Dr. Andy Waskie of Temple University, and Capt. Bradley Mills of Marine Reserve. Photo by Joe Stivala
