Can someone explain why a Democrat State Senator and a Democrat City Councilman would stand side by side while Lt. Gov. Cawley touts his good deeds down in Chinatown, so close to a Governor/Lt. Governor election only a week away? That’s what Larry Farnese and Squilla did this week.
C’mon guys, do you need the Chinatown votes that bad you couldn’t wait until after the elections? Is there a hidden agenda behind Farnese’s wanting to cuddle up to Cawley, other than riding the Act 89 money the Republicans are throwing around the state?
Cawley and Sec. Shlock and his Deputy of PennDOT Administrator Brad Mallory went to a botched City Line Avenue resurfacing project to tout none other than “Gov. Corbett”. That was politics at its best timing. City Avenue went thru the worse pothole season ever this year and that was because PennDOT cancelled the entire 2012-2013 paving season. What they did not expect was the severe weather this year 2014 left City Avenue in its entirety left defenseless to snow, ice and salt.
Larry, you should be asking yourself, “Was I used to help the Republican cause?” By the way, you are my State Senator.

All politicians want to make sure they share in the credit for a project like the Chinatown center because all are involved – Democrats at the city and state level as well as Republicans in the administration. So you will always see a bipartisan turnout at press events like these.
How are you doing, Frank? I got used to you on TV but I haven’t heard from you for a while.
