Stop The Presses! Newsies Plays In Philadelphia

NEWSIES is the Tony-award-winning sensation which will only be at the Academy of Music through Sunday, Nov. 2. So buy your tickets right away, because Thursday night was a sellout! It’s surprising the Academy of Music roof is still in place, because the thunderous applause from the audience seemed as if it could blow the roof off. And yes, Virginia, there was a time at the turn of the last century when newspapers and newsboys could bring even the metropolis of New York to a grinding halt with a strike. The creative set and scenery, the amazing voices and dancers, the huge cast of talented Broadway performers, led by Dan DeLuca, and featuring an extraordinary nine-year-old New Jersey actor, Vincent Crocilla, will have you forgetting all about Ebola and other disasters – at least for a couple of hours.
