Organized labor making a difference in the community at the 16th Annual Charity Golf Classic. Honoree Patrick B. Gillespie, Business Manager of the Philadelphia Building and Construction Trades Council, AFL-CIO and founder Samuel Staten, Sr., Retired Business Manager of the Laborers’ District Council of the Metropolitan Area of Philadelphia and Vicinity, came together at Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland, Pa. on Tuesday, Golf started at 10:30 a.m. At noon, lunch was served on the course and by 4:30 p.m. it was time for cocktails, dinner, awards and auction.
